Dick Class and Bobby Pauley have led our Relocation Team through the process of searching for a new space to serve as a home and home base for our church family as we seek to plant deep in our community. They both dedicated significant prayer, time, energy and expertise to the effort. God worked through them to lead us to the Atlee Library space and the eventual signing of the lease this past weekend!
They both have lived out 1 Peter 4:10 throughout their time of serving in this critical role for our church family. 1 Peter 4:10 states, "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
Dick brought his activator, “do something” mindset and project management skills to the work. Bobby brought his faith-filled prayers and experience with commercial real estate to the discernment and decisions. God could not have put together better teammates to lead this effort.
The prayers of our church family have fueled them all along the way! They may not want the attention but we can all say “Praise God!” and “Thank you” as we consider all that they gave and sacrificed to get us to this point. They will continue to use their gifts and expertise as we continue our planning and preparation of this new space.
Ellen coordinates our nursery at Restoration Church. She has been serving the littlest members of our church family for almost 30 years. In fact, she taught some of the parents of current nursery children! Her love of God and delight in His word has been inspiring our children to love the Bible. Each Sunday, she reminds them that Jesus loves them with joy in her voice and a smile on her face. In this virtual season, you can find her every Sunday on our Children's Ministry Facebook page leading a sweet nursery story time. She is a woman of many gifts and talents (including raising geese!), and we are so grateful for all she does for our church.
Eric Walter leads our Tech Team and is highly invested in Restoration Church. He is a focused and calming presence. As a fount of technical wisdom, he selflessly goes above and beyond his "volunteer position" of Lead Tech through also helping to oversee our Production & Media needs. He has stepped up to help us transition our worship services online and made numerous improvements each week. With the time he spends working in this position, you would never guess his real full time job is as a TAM (Technical Account Manager) for Microsoft. He is husband to Denise and dad to Hayden, Karlie and Addison. He handles all of this with energy, humor and grace. He also has a deep love for Wawa and he generously shares coffee, breakfast sandwiches (sizzlies) and other baked items from there with the Tech Team and more. Eric is a gift to our church family!
