Student Leadership Conference (SLC) is a conference for committed rising 9th through current 12th graders who want to go where God is leading NOW, as students, and to lead others where He leads. Through hands-on leadership experiences, inspirational speakers, impactful worship and peer discussion, students are empowered to dream and plan for immediate leadership impact in their churches, schools, communities, and beyond. SLC is not a summer camp. It is designed for students who are serious about ministry and want to make an impact for Christ in their world.
Please be prayerful and intentional in completing your application. An interview and reference checks will be part of the selection process. A completed application does not guarantee acceptance. In some cases, an interview may be necessary. Priority will be given to applications returned by the deadline! Please complete the online application and forward the reference link to your references.

We're excited to offer a new way to partner with your student in their faith journey. We have assigned adult prayer partners for all interested middle school and high school students at Restoration Church. The prayer partners commit to praying regularly for the student and making monthly contact with the students via mail or text to encourage them and seek prayer requests. If you would like your student to participate, please contact Jen Williams at firstname.lastname@example.org

Transit is a special class for rising 6th graders addressing their approaching middle school. This class will run concurrently with Restoration's 10:30/A worship service, Sundays through June 10th. All 5th graders are welcome!
Launch (grades 6-12; introduction band for all new youth musicians): Launch is the perfect band for beginning musicians and tech specialists, and it is the starting point for all new musicians and tech members, no matter the skill level, before they are placed on a more advanced team. This team is adult led, but Launch students are also mentored by student leaders from the Generation worship team. All brand new members to Restoration’s youth worship teams start at Launch, where students learn musical and technical skills in a safe, encouraging environment. Sixth-grade youth worship team students are asked to spend at least one year in Launch before moving on to another team. Students who attend Launch and show advanced skills will be given the opportunity to move to another team that will better challenge them and help them grow. Students on the other youth worship teams who want extra training or want to try a new instrument or skill are welcome to attend Launch. Launch meets each Wednesday evening during the school year from 6:00-7:00 at the Libbys’ house (10081 Cool Spring Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23116).
Generation (grades 7-12; intermediate and advanced skill levels): Generation is intended to be the training ground where students with intermediate to advanced skills learn to work together as a team and lead worship. It is open to all student musicians and technicians in grades 7-12. Generation students get regular opportunities to put their skills to use at church and outreach events. Rehearsals are held during the school year each Thursday evening from 6:00-7:15 at the Libbys’ house (10081 Cool Spring Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23116).
Limitless (advanced skill levels): Limitless operates on an invitation-only membership. All members from the previous year are invited to participate during the current year. Other members will be added as positions become available and the need arises. This team is for students who have had time to develop skills and are largely self-sufficient in the use of their musical or technical talents. This advanced team is student led under adult supervision. The goal of Limitless is to build a repertoire so that they are always ready to go into the community and bring worship music to places where it would not otherwise be available. Rehearsals are the first and third Wednesday of every month during the school year from 7:15-8:30 at the Libbys’ house (10081 Cool Spring Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23116).
